The American Society of Women Accountants - Silicon Valley Chapter (ASWA), has been a supporter of education in the Bay Area for over 25 years. Every year, several lucky recipients from universities around the Bay Area receive our scholarships. Since 1976, ASWA Silicon Valley Chapter has been awarding and distributing over $70,000 in scholarships to accounting students. The program is made possible by our members and guests who have a special heart for accounting and finance education.
Our primary fund raising is through members and outside contributors and visitors to contribute and bid in an annual silent auction. Each year the event is held around the year end holiday season. We ask members, CPA firms, employers and the general public for direct contributions. Your donation will be benefiting the immediate scholarship recipients. For detail on our chapter and the silent auction event, please visit www.aswasiliconvalley.org.
The mission of ASWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession. Members include partners in national, regional and local CPA firms, financial officers, controllers, academicians, financial analysts and data processing consultants, recent college graduates and women returning to the work force.
